Participant Agreement
BestEffort WC Release from Liability
By joining, attending, organizing, posting, or participating in any BestEffort WC walk, meetup, route share, social activity, or related club event, you acknowledge and agree to the following release and assumption of risk.
Voluntary Participation
Participation in BestEffort WC activities is entirely voluntary. You are responsible for deciding whether a walk, route, pace, location, weather condition, distance, terrain, or group activity is appropriate for your health, fitness level, and personal comfort.
Assumption of Risk
Walking and outdoor activities may involve risks, including but not limited to slips, trips, falls, traffic, uneven sidewalks, heat, dehydration, weather changes, encounters with animals, personal injury, illness, property loss, or actions by other participants or third parties. You knowingly accept these risks when participating.
Release of BestEffort WC
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless BestEffort WC, Best Effort Walking Club, its organizers, hosts, volunteers, members, route contributors, affiliates, and event participants from claims, demands, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to your participation in club activities.
Personal Responsibility
You agree to use good judgment, follow applicable laws, stay aware of your surroundings, respect private property, hydrate appropriately, wear suitable footwear and clothing, and seek medical guidance before participating if you have any health concerns.
No Professional Advice
BestEffort WC does not provide medical, fitness, safety, legal, or professional advice. Any route, meetup, or recommendation shared by the club or community is informational and should be evaluated by each participant independently.
Agreement
By participating in any BestEffort WC activity, you confirm that you have read this release, understand it, and agree to participate at your own risk.
